Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest HR professional society. He previously served a two-year term as Chair of the SHRM Board of Directors in 2005 and 2006.
Mr. Taylor is the immediate past President and Chief Executive Officer of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, which represents nearly 300,000 students attending public Historically Black Colleges and Universities. In this role, he became a prolific fundraiser, amassing over $100 million in grants and gifts. As an influencer in his field and community, he was named one of the Ebony Magazine “Power 100” in 2011.
Previously, he held positions at IAC/Interactive Corp, first as its Senior Vice President of HR and then as President and Chief Executive Officer of one of IACs operating subsidiaries. Mr. Taylor’s career also spans nearly 15 years in the practice of law and HR, including as Litigation Partner and President of the HR consulting business of the law firm McGuireWoods LLC; Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Compass Group USA; General Counsel and Senior Vice President of HR for Viacom’s Paramount Pictures Live Entertainment Group; and Associate General Counsel and Vice President of HR for Blockbuster Entertainment Group.
Mr. Taylor holds both a Doctor of Jurisprudence and a Master of Arts with honors from Drake University. He obtained a Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Miami. He is licensed to practice law in Florida, Illinois and Washington, DC.He currently serves on the corporate board of Gallup, the leader in organizational consulting and public opinion research, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Miami.

Studying ancient Indian scriptures and Bharatanatyam dancer
Yanush Batra is a 18 year old teenager from Gurgaon. Studied from the pathways school , Gurgaon, Yanush has been exposed to a world which is not only diverse but unique. Rare in today’s time, he’s a self-taught Bharatanatyam dancer, and now is under the training of Ms Sharada Ganesan of Kalasadan . Throughout his school life, he has had several opportunities to showcase his skills as a dancer on various platforms, be it IC3 conferences, societal events, or the many school events. He has a keen interest in all Indian classical dance forms and wishes to popularize the lost arts of India in the youth. he has learnt Carnatic music for many years and keeps keen interest in Hindustani music, Rabindra sangeet as well as Marathi natak sangeet . Having training in the traditional Indian instrument of tabla and a lute-like instrument called the Hansa veena, Yanush has always been a performer. He also has a keen interest in theatre and has successfully directed a considerate amount of plays, gaining recognition and receiving awards for the same.
Since childhood, Yanush has been inclined towards studying mythology and ancient Indian scriptures. He has recently started reading their translations and has tried decoding the many metaphors hidden in Hindu philosophy.
Recently, Yanush has been studying the cultural and rituals followed during various festivals in India and often incorporates the learning s practically in prayer and worship.
The beauty and complexity of ancient Indian culture inspires him to share his love for it with his peers and hopefully bring its wisdom and unique grace to the quest for balance in modern civilisation.
Mumbai based Band
The Ones, is a Mumbai based band formed in 2018 when a group of 6 young musicians Giselle, Nia, Bianca, Parhaan, Pranit and Raphael came together to share their love for music. Their influences span across genres and artistes like Queen, Joan Jett, The Beatles, Amy Winehouse, Maroon 5 to name a few. These 12 year olds studying in Class 7, wanted to in their small way make a difference during these trying times.
They have performed their favourite track, a Michael Jackson classic ‘Heal The World’ and through this song they are trying to help raise funds for the NGO ‘Mann - Center for Individuals with Special Needs’ who are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘The talented band of 12 year olds have shown all of us that whatever our age, there are lots of different ways we can help others. They used their music as a platform to share an important message that we need to be reminded of every day - Heal the World.’ says Beverly Louis, Co-founder, Mann.
